Dr. Khalid Mohammed is an Interventional Cardiologist who is board certified in Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology, and Cardiac CT.
Dr. Mohammed has decided to come back to the greater Tampa Bay Area once again, this time as an interventional cardiologist to serve his community. He is proficient at diagnosing & treating cardiovascular disease and performing a multitude of interventional cardiovascular procedures, including, but not limited to – complex coronary, mechanical circulatory support, peripheral arterial (upper/lower extremities, renal, carotid, aortic aneurysms), peripheral venous (DVT, PE, May Thurner, superficial veins), structural heart (TAVI, PFO/ASD closures, LAA occluders), renal artery denervation.
Dr. Mohammed is passionate about medical education. He has served as both Chief Resident and Chief Fellow at his training programs. He was recognized as Intern Resident of the Year & Resident/Fellow of the Year on multiple occasions. He has served as Associate Professor of Medicine at both Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and Central Michigan University College of Medicine where he was closely involved in training medical students, residents, and fellows. He has not only published in peer-reviewed journals, but also presented at national cardiovascular conferences throughout the United States.
